What Is Eco Glitter?
Our Eco Glitter is sourced from a factory in the UK that uses Eucalyptus Cellulose.
Eco Glitter is totally safe for you and the environment. Some glitters claim to be biodegradable, but only under extreme and unrealistic circumstances. Glitz & Glazz Eco Glitter is biodegradable in waterways under "normal" conditions and will biodegrade before even reaching the ocean if washed down the drain. It is compostable but if kept in a sealed container away from heat and moisture will last as long as you do.
Eco Glitter is a new innovation in cosmetic effect pigments. A new glitter produced from cosmetically approved materials that addresses the environmental micro plastic issues associated with polyester glitter.
Glitz & Glazz Eco Glitter is produced from a special biodegradable regenerated cellulose film which is derived from renewable raw materials, responsibly and environmentally sourced to PECF standards. It does not contain genetically modified materials or materials obtained from genetically modified organisms. The heavy metal content of our Eco Glitter is very low and fully complies with cosmetic requirements. It has the added benefit of being antimony free as no antimony is used in the production process.
Eco Glitter incorporates specially selected ingredients and pigments that meet the requirements of EC Regulation 1223/2009 and FDA Title 21 CFR Regulations for applications in the cosmetic industry, enabling Eco Glitter to comply with cosmetic regulations around the world.
Eco Glitter is precision cut and highly reflective making it indistinguishable from cosmetic polyester glitter. It comes in all sizes from super fine for a more subtle look to super chunky for all those Drama Kings and Queens out there.
How Do I Use Eco Glitter?
Apply a small amount of clear lip-balm, aloe vera gel or cosmetic adhesive to the desired area using your finger or a makeup brush. We like to use Paw-Paw ointment or organic hair gel then top it off with hair spray for longer lasting results.
Using the same brush or your sticky finger, apply the glitter on top with a gentle dab. Start with chunky pigment and work your way to smaller sizes if you are mixing them up.
Sparkle and be fabulous! Try not to rub and stay out of the water until you're ready to wash it off.
To remove, simply wash away with warm water or use your normal makeup remover. Coconut oil also works a treat.
